May TBR: How I did it

Hi everyone!!! :)
This is the last day of the month so it's time to share with you what books I've read in May. This is an idea hosted by Misty over at The book rat.

This is what I intended to read in May:

And this is what I've read

I loved this book. It was better than I'd expected; it has mystery, love and sex. I've started watching True blood, but I like more the book.

I want to read all the books, but that will have to wait until I finish other books.

Another book which I love.I think this book is great because it's funny and sad and tells about love, but also other stuff. I highly recommend it because it's beautiful :)

Well, this is my short list, but what about you? I'm sure you did better than me :)

Top ten books I hope people are still reading in 30 years

hosted by: The Broke and the Bookish

Hi everyone!!! :)

Well, today I'm going to tell you what top ten books written in the past 10 years I hope people are still reading in 30 Years.

Here is my list:

This book is so good that I expect people will still be reading it in 2042. I like it because it's beautiful, romantic, but also because it contains other issues.
I looooooooooove this book so much! :) I liked it more than Anna and the French kiss. I liked more because I suffered less thinking in what's going to happen, that you can spend time compose yourself, trying to find yourself to give others the best of you and still somebody is going to wait for you. THAT is awesome.

Since almost the first line I felt in love with this book. I hope people can see how special this book is. The way two people can meet by chance and then they feel in love and everything is great and everything is wrong and come on, let's try it again. That is what makes this book so special.

Another book I recommend to people is this one. It's a very strange story and unfortunately, a sad one too, but it is worth reading it. That's for sure! I hope people still read it in 30 years because it's very good. It has romance, mystery, I don't know how to explain it, but the book is really good.

Well, John Green had DEFINITELY to be in this list. I've read only two books and I loved them. This one is my favourite because it's a book which makes you think and it's romantic and funny, specially is very funny. I highly recommend it and I hope that people still reading it in the next decades.

I didn't believe that I liked this book, but it's really good.
It's about the story of a friendship, but it's more than that. It's about love, death, sex, divorce and it tells everything in a simple way. I really really liked it :)

This one is another one which I consider people should read. I think every knows about this one because of the film and its tremendous success. It's a hard story and the worst of it it's a TRUE story. Marjane knows how to tell story and it makes you think about the situation in Iran from another perspective.

Another author that I must include is Paul Auster. I've read almost everything he's written and this is y favourite one :) It tells about everything, but the main topic is family. I like the way Paul writes because you see he writes in a different way.

I've read this one in 3 days and I'm not a quick reader. I loved it so much that I recommended to everyone. It's a mystery and I liked because although I had already read it and I know what happened, I want to re-read. This doesn't happen to me with mystery novels.

David Safier knows how to make you cry and laugh in almost the same sentence. I like his books because they are funny and I like most this one because it's a person who is trying to be a better person and to know herself better.

Well, this is my list, but what about yours?

It's Monday! What are *you* reading?

                                hosted by: Book Journey

Hi everyone!!! :)

It's Monday, so I want to share with you what I'm reading, what I finished last week and I want to read next.

Last week I finished

I really liked this book. It was very beautiful and romantic, but  I also liked because it talked about other stuff. I highly recommend it to you. Two thumbs up! :)

Now I'm reading

Wow, this book is amazing! I thought that it would be good, but I'd never thought that it could be this good. It's totally different of what I've read before. It's beautiful, well-written, entertaining, this book has everything. I really really really recommend to you because it's a good treat :)

If you like mystery novel, this is a good election. At first, I lost because there are many names and different situations and they didn't seem to stick together, but now everything is placed in its place and I turn pages quite quickly. I've liked more other novels, but this one is very entertaining.

Next in my pile
I am always putting this book off, but as soon as I finish one of the books above, I am going to start reading this one. I've heard only good things about it. I hope it doesn't let me down.

Well, this is me, but what about you?

Sundays in bed with ...

                        hosted by: Midnight Book Girl

Hi everyone!!! :)

Today it's Sunday and I want to share with you which book I'm reading in bed.

This book is really good. I wanted to read it because everybody was saying that they liked it very much and when I watched the trailer of the film  it seemed to me it was going to be a beautiful story. Then I found it in the library in English and I read a few lines, but they didn't grab my attention and I returned it to the shelf. It wasn't until my sister told me it was about a mystery that I borrowed from the library. I read the first page and I felt in love with it. It's awesome. I highly recommend to you because it's very different from I've read before. It's well-written and it includes things that I'd never expected.

Well. this is me, but what about you?

It's Monday! What are *you* reading?

                                  hosted by: Book Journey

Hi everyone!!!  :)

Today it's Monday and I want to share with you what I've read last week, what I'm reading right now and what I intend to read next.

Last week I finished nothing, none, nada :( This happens to me when I read more than one book, but anyway, maybe next week I'll finish two :)

Now I'm reading

I really like The statistical probability of love at first sight. I'm reading little by little, savouring it because I really love the story and I don't want to finish it and I like to think about it and yes, the book is really good :)

Cat among pigeons is really good too, but in the case it took me a little time to engage with the story. I think the fact that there are a lot of names on it, made me lose in the story and I had to start to re-read all over again. But, then, I can't put it down. So, yeah, if you like mystery, you'll love this one.

Next in my pile

Extremely loud & Incredible close by Jonathan Safran Foer. Everybody is talking about this book and everybody agrees that it's good. It's the first book I'm going to read it's written by Foer. I hope I like it.

Well, this is me, but what about you?

Sundays in bed with ...

                                      hosted by: Midnight book girl

Hi everyone!!! :)

It's Sunday and I'm in bed with this book

It's a very entertaining story although at first it was a little difficult for me to engage with the story. Now, I can't basically stop reading it. As always, Agatha Christie doesn't let me down :)

Well, this is me, but what about you?

Saturday quote

Hi everyone!!! :)

From time to time I come across some lines in book which grab my attention. Now, I'm reading The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight I found these sentences very attractive.

Here are they:

"Often he would come home with books for her, for Christmas or her birthday, or for no particular occasion at all, some of them early editions with beautiful gold trim, other used paperbacks bought for a dollar or two on a street corner"

Beautiful, isn't it?

Well, this is me, but what about you?

Book beginnings

                          hosted by: Rose City Reader

Hi everyone!!! :)

Today I want to share with you a book beginning
How to participate: Share the first line (or two) of the book you are currently reading.

"There are so many ways it could have all turned out differently"
So this is the beginning of The statistical probability of love at first sight by Jennifer E. Smith and it sounds terrific, doesn't it?, but the best part is that the book is really, really good. I am in the middle of it and I love it. I highly recommend it.

Well, this is me, but what about you?

TGIF Question

                       hosted by: GReads

Hi everyone!!! :)

Today the question is

What made you decide to start your very own book blog?

Well, in my case all started when I decided to create a blog to force me to write in English. I'd seen other people create them and I loved the idea. Once, I started the blog, I got stuck because I didn't know what to talk about. A few months later, I started looking for other blogs which were in English and had something in common with me or my hobbies. I remember finding Teresa's reading corner blog first and this blog leaded me to other book blogs. I started reading them: their reviews, their memes and then, I also wanted to do it myself.  I started doing memes and talking about books. Little by little, expressions such as TBR or next in my pile became familiar to me.

I'm so glad that I started this blog because thanks to it I've learned to write better in English (which was the first idea) , but thanks to your blogs I've learned about amazing books which otherwise I had never discovered. Thanks a lot ! :)

Well, this is me, but what about you? Why did you start your blog?

Book Chat: desert island books

Hi everyone!!! :)

Today I'm going to participate in a book chat hosted by Misty from The Book Rat. The chat is about what five books I'd take to a desert island .

1.- What book would  you like to take  to the island that you have already read and want to read again?

Lola and the boy next door by Stephanie Perkins. I really loved the book because it's funny and romantic. So I would definitely take with me to the island and re-read it in one sitting :)

2.- What book would you take that you've never read before but you really want to?

The end of the affair by Graham Greene. I think I had this book in my TBR pile forever and I want to read it. I watched the trailer of the film and I thought the story was interesting. I hope it won't let me down.

3.-  What childhood book would you take?

Das doppelte Lottchen by Erich Kästner. I read this one in Spanish not in German, but I couldn't find the Spanish cover or English cover. Anyway, I looooooooooove this book. I read it when I was a kid and I remember finding it very funny and entertaining. I highly recommend it.

Besides, do you know all the  The Parent Trap films are based on this book? yes, it's the story of two twins that meet each other in a camp and discover they are sisters.

4.-  What series would you like to take with you?

Paranormalcy series by Kiersten White. I love this series although I haven't read all the books yet. Evie is very funny and strong and Lend, well, Lend the best guy in the world :) yeah, I love him.

5.-  A freebie book.

I've heard only good things about this one and I would definitely take with me to the island.

Well, this is me. but what about you?

It's Monday! What are *you* reading?

                                          hosted by: Book Journey
Hi everyone!!! :)

It's Monday so it's time for me to share with you what I finished last week, what I'm reading right now and what I want to read next.

Last week I finished

I really loved the book. It surprises me a lot because I thought it was going to be lighter in the content. I liked Sookie, the main character, she is tough and funny. Although it took me a few weeks to finish it, I couldn't barely put it down. I highly recommend it :)

Now I'm reading

I really like this book. I though it was a romantic story and that's it, but It's much deeper than that. It reminds me to Stephanie Perkins books because they're also romantic and because you turn pages very quickly. It's really good so far, I hope it won' let me down.

I love Agatha Christie books. I don't know how this woman could come up with  ideas for all these stories. I've already started this book, but now I didn't remember what it was about, so I have to start it again. I like it so far :)

Next in my pile

I think I'm putting off this book enough time. I'd heard this one was really good. I hope so, although Neil Gaiman has never let me down.

Well, this is me, but what about you?

Sundays in bed with ...

                                      hosted by: Midnight Book Girl

Hi everyone!!! :)

Today it's Sunday and here is the book I'm spending in bed with

It's lovely. I'm enjoying reading it very much. It's romantic and thoughtful. It reminds me of Stephanie Perkins in a way, but the style is TOTALLY different. I highly recommend Stephanie Perkins books (Anna and the French kiss and Lola and the boy next door) and this one. You turn pages so quickly that you finish the book without noticing.

Well, this is me, but what about you?
