Review: Virginia Wolf by Kyo Maclear

Hi everyone!!! :)

Today I want to share with you my thoughts about this book:

 12564868

What is this about?: It's about two sisters Vanessa and Virginia. Virginia is in a strange mood and Vanessa is trying to understand her and help her.

My thoughts about this book: This is a middle children book and it's very short. You can read it very quickly. I liked the fact at the begining you realised that the main characters Virginia and Vanesa are based on Vanesa Bell and Virginia Woolf (well, just the title suggest that) I liked the story, it was very unique, although in the middle of it I was a bit bored.  Overall, I liked the story especially  how the story is wrapped up. I'd recommend to everyone because it was an interesting read.

Top Ten Books On My Fall TBR

Hi everyone!!! :)

I hope you are well.

Today I want to share with you my top ten books on my fall TBR. Here they are:

3516953
How Mirka got her sword (Hereville 1) by Barry Deutsch and Jake Richmond. What is this about? Mirka is not interested in knitting lessons from her stepmother or how to find a husband advice from her sister. She wants to fight dragons. Why do I want to read this book? It sounds like a fun quick read.

Under the Egg

Under the egg by Laura Marx Fitzgerald. What is this book about? Theodora spills a bottle of rubbing alcohol on her late grandfather's painting and she discover what is underneath. Why did I pick up this book? I think it's a mystery about Theodora's family and some secrets. Sounds intriguing and interesting.

26027795
Under the duvet by Marian Keyes. What is this book about? I am not sure given the fact that goodreads doesn't say anything about it, but I think it's a compilation of essasy about how Marian Keyes writes and some funny anecdotes. Not sure, but sounds like is going to be a funny read.

7381647
The book of awesome by Neil Parischa. This one is a compilation of posts about the small things that happen in our life and we think they are AWESOME such as that toy you have just bought has batteries included and people who were invated in your house did the dishes for you. AWESOME.

4260
Nick Hornby's essays. I really want to read his essays. He has some books full of interesting essays that I don't know where to start. If you know, let me know.

152380
Mary Poppins by P.L. Travers. I have watched the film long time ago and I have just learned that it was a series of books. I really want to read the books and see the difference between the books and the film.

71776
At home in Mitford by Jan Karon. I think this one is about Father Tim has to deal with some people and give them advice. Not totally sure.

17738182Merry ex-mas by Sheila Roberts. (Just learn that this one is the second part of a series, but I think you can read them separately, the only thing in common is the setting) what is this about? I am always in the mood for something fluffy and funny to read, but I have always problems to find it. I think in this case I'm going to be happy with this choice, but not sure though.

17910542

Starry Night by Debbie Macomber. I want to give a go to this book because the plot sounds great. It's about a woman who wants to read about things more serious in a newspaper and her boss asks her to interview an author that nobody knows where he is.

Currently reading

Hi everyone!!! :)

I hope you are well.

Today I want to share with you the books I'm currently reading.

15799151
Daily Rituals: How artist work by Mason Currey. As the title says this book is about the daily routine of the famous people such as Patricia Highsmith, Simone de Beauvoir or Federico Fellini among others. It's really interesting. I like how the author briefly explain what these authors, painters, musicians do when they wake up and what they do to be creative. It's really cool and I'm enjoying very much.

11445612
The book of AWESOME (Holiday edition) by Neil Pasricha. Neil Pasricha had a blog when he posted the small things that he thought they were awesome. For instance, if you buy a toy and you find that the baterries are included and the only you can say is AWESOME. This book follows the same guidelines: in a post form he talks about the things that happen at Christmas that are AWESOME. For instance, you try your lights and all of them work. That is AWESOME, isn't it?

212575

Art objects by Jeanette Winterson. I have recently heard about this author and when I saw this book in the library I thought it would be interesting. It's a compilation of essays where Jeanette talks about art and literature. I like it so far, but I think that essays are a bit long and dense and for me they are a bit difficult to read late at night. Having said that, I think this author deserves more attention because she has a very unique voice.

Well, these are the books I'm currently reading. Feel free to share what you're reading :)

Review: Here comes Jack Frost by Kazuno Kohara

Hi everyone :)

I hope you are well.

Today I want to share with you my thought about this book:

  6618094

What is the book about? It's about a boy who is bored because his friends are hinbernated.

What I like about this book: The illustrations. They are beautiful and the author has a very unique style. It's easy to recognised her artwork. I also liked the story. It was fun to read.

What I didn't like about this book: That it was too short. I wish it would be longer so I could learn about the main character's life and his friends.

Do you recommend it?:  Yes, I would recommend to everyone, especially children because I think they would enjoy it even more.
