December TBR: How I did it

Hi everyone!!! :)

Today I want to share with you the books I read this month.

This month I finished:

Rescue Ferrets at Sea

Rescue Ferrets at Sea by Richard Bach. I really loved all the books by Richard Bach because all of them are full of wisdom and advice. This one was a bit different from other books I've read by Richard Bach because the characters were animals and I think the book was aimed more to children although adults can enjoy it too.

A Christmas Carol

A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. This read surprised me a lot because I thought simce the book has more than 100 years, I was going to enjoy the tone or the story, but I was wrong. I really loved it  because it was scary and it was beautiful too. When you end it you want to be a better person and be more generous. I think Charles Dickens sends us a beautiful message.

Bludzee

Bludzee by Lewis Trondheim. Ooooo I really really loved this book. The main character is a cat and he is funny and charming. I highly recommend it to adults because I think it's not appropriate for children.

Simply Irresistible (Lucky Harbor, #1)

Simply Irresistible by Jill Shalvis. OMG this book was amazing. I gave 5 starts on Goodreads because I couldn't give it more. The things I expect in a book are in this book. It's funny and there are some hard topics and Jax ... Puff, I really loved it and I couldn't put it down. It was really cute. I love it :)

Scott Pilgrim's Precious Little Life (Scott Pilgrim, #1)

Scott Pilgrim by Brian Lee O'Malley. I liked the book, but I didn't love as much as I expected. I thought it was going to be one of my favourite reads, but it disappointed me a bit :(

ttyl (Internet Girls, #1)

ttyl by Lauren Myracle. I finished it yesterday and I really loved it. It took me like 3 days finished it, but I didn't have much time to read it. I loved because the relationships of the three girls and their issues. Great book. Two thumbs up! :)

Well, this is me, but what about you?

It's Monday what are *you* reading

                                   hosted by : Book Journey

 Hi everyone!!! :)

So today I want to share with you the books I'm reading right now, the books I finished last week and the books I want to read next.

Last week I finished

Scott Pilgrim's Precious Little Life (Scott Pilgrim, #1)

Scott Pilgrim's precious little life by Brian Lee O'Malley. I liked this book, but I didn't love it :_( But anyway, I had a good time reading it and I'm going to read the next books in the series.

ttyl (Internet Girls, #1)
ttyl by Lauren Myracle. I really loved this book. At first I was OK I liked it but I expected more, but then I kept reading and OMG it was so great that I couldn't stop reading it. I hope the rest of books in the series are this good :)

Now I'm reading

Anne of Green Gables (Anne of Green Gables, #1)

Anna of green gables by L. M. Montgomery. This is taking me a while because Anna is interesting, but I'm a bit tired of all the stories are about how Anna gets in trouble, so I'm reading one story every day.

Next in my pile

Clockwork Prince (The Infernal Devices, #2)

Clockwork prince by Cassandra Clare. this is the second book in the series the infernal devices. I'm really excited about this one. I have heard nothing but good things about it and now I can't wait to read it :)

Well, this is me, but what about you?

Last Minute Reading Read-a-thon Wrap-Up

Hi eveyone!!! :)

Well, it's almost midnight and it's time for me to see how I did and I have to say I'm very happy because I managed to read 2 out of the 3 books I wanted to read.

So these are the books I read

Scott Pilgrim's Precious Little Life (Scott Pilgrim, #1) Scott Pilgrims's precious little life by Brian Lee O'Malley. this book was good, but not what I expected. it took me a little bit to get into the story, but to tell the truth it improves after that.

ttyl (Internet Girls, #1) ttyl by Lauren Myracle. I just finished this one and OMG, it was funny and lovely, but also it has some serious stuff which makes you think about how technology can be good or bad at the same time. I highly recommend you :)

Well, this is me, but what about you?

Sundays in bed with...

                        hosted by: Midnight Book Girl

Hi everyone!!! :)

So today I want to share with you the book I'm spending the day with

ttyl (Internet Girls, #1)

At first I was a little disappointed because I thought I was going to love it and I just liked it, but after reading a few pages more I couldn't put it down and when I did I told myself: "I'm going to read a few pages more,  just a few pages more" and I ended up reading 20 pages or more. So now I'm about to finish it even though I haven't had much time to read it. Yes, I really love it now :D

Well, this is me, but what about you?

The Book Bingo Challenge :)

 2013 Bingo Challenge Button-01
                                                      hosted by: Reading In winter

Hi everyone!!! :)

The other day I saw in Sawcat's Book Blog the Book Bingo Reading Challenge and I though it was really cool.

So the first thing you need is your score board

BINGO Challenge 2013 Scorecard-01

And here are the rules you have to follow:

  1. Be awesome. If you’re not, this isn’t going to work.
  2. The challenge runs from January 1 to December 31, 2013.
  3. If you want to participate, you can join in any time of the year! Feel free to write up a blog post with the rules linking back to Kristilyn and Anne’s blog in your sign-up post.
  4. If you read one book for the “1 book” in any category, you can’t change it later on when you read another book to “2 books.” Once a square is crossed off, it’s crossed off for good! (Feel free to print off the scoreboard to keep track!)
  5. Books read for one square are for that square ONLY and cannot be counted towards another category. This is all about reading ALL THE BOOKS.
  6. The FREE SQUARE isn’t really a free square. In order to cross it off, you must read a book by either:
    1. Reading a book picked by another participant, or
    2. Reading a book in a genre picked by another participant.
  7. You can start your board over again, but ONLY if you receive the stamp of awesome by completing a blackout. The “winners” of the challenge will be the ones who achieve the most winning combinations by the end of 2013.
  8. You can feel free to post your reading list for each category, though it’s not a requirement.
  9. Having a blog or writing reviews for books read is not required. So long as you want to have fun, you can participate!
  10. This isn’t a race, but don’t be afraid to rub your reads in the other player’s face. This will be seen as encouragement. Feel free to use the hashtag #2013BookBingo on Twitter!
If you want to know more details, just click here and you can go directly to the host blog.

Wow, now I can't wait to start 2013 :)

Well, this is me, but what about you?

A Birthday Book Haul

Hi everyone!!! :)

Today I want to share the books I received for my birthday.

Here are the books:

A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens. I have heard this book is about the comparison between French and English culture Charles Dickens did. I'm totally sure about it, but, anyway, I really want to read it and I hope I like it.

Little Dorrit by Charles Dickens. Well, I think this is another classic that unfortunately, I haven't read. I don’t know what is about, but I don't mind. I think it's going to be a great read. I think it took me time to read because it's a bit thick :(

Clockwork Prince (The Infernal Devices #2) by

The Casual Vacancy by J.K. Rowling. For this one, I've heard people like, people don't or at least as much as they expected. I think all we have the hopes up since we all loved Harry Potter books, but, anyway, I'm going to give it a try :)

Well, this is me, but what about you?

Last Minute Reading Read-a-thon Update

Hi everyone!!! :)

So today I'm doing this read-a-thon and so far, it's going very well. I have just put three books in the pile to read because I know myself and I just picked up those three because I'm sure I am not going to be able to read more than that.

The books are:

ttyl by Lauren Myracle.

Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery.

Scott Pilgrim by Brian Lee O'Halley

So far I've finished

Scott Pilgrim by Brian Lee O'Halley. I liked this book, but I didn't love it. I expected to be more entertaining than it was, but I still enjoy reading it :)
Well, this is me, but what about you?

Wednesday of review: Simply Irresistible

Hi everyone!!! :)

Today I want to share with you the review of this OMG book ;)
Simply Irresistible (Lucky Harbor, #1)
This is my second read in the challenge

The Christmas spirit reading challenge

hosted by: True Book Addict at The Christmas Spirit blog

MY REVIEW:

The author: Jill Shalvis. I hadn't heard nothing about this author until Kimberly from On the wings of books put it in my way, but accordingly with Goodreads and her onw website, she is a best-seller with over 50 romance novels.

The story: It's about a woman, Maddie, who decides to start a new life in Lucky Habour after being fire and broke up with her boyfriend.

My thoughts: I really loved this book because it was a beautiful story and everything which happens in the book, even the tough stuff, is seen from a positive perspective. The book is written in a way that I felt that Jill Shalvis  took my hand and we walked together through the pages. So, yes, although it's 350 pages you can easily read in just one day.

I loved all the characters, especially Maddie, because they are lovely and friendly and you can easily feel identified with parts of them. But there is one thing I didn't like and it's Jax physical description and some behaviour he did. Sometimes, Jax seemed to be too good to be true. Apart from that the whole book is really great and the romance and sex parts fit perfectly. It's just simply irresistible.

To Sum Up: I highly recommend it to everyone because it's a great read. There are complex issues in it and it's so well-written that you can stop reading, but I think seeing how the book is explained that women love more than men.
Well, this is me, but what about you?

Last Minute read-a-thon Day 1

                                      hosted by: Vonnie'sReading Corner
Hi everyone!!! :)

So today I'm doing something different. I have seen this read-a-thon a few weeks ago and I thought that it was a really great idea. This read-a-thon consists of reading the books you have on your shelves or trying to finish your goals before the year ends. Whatever the reason, this read-a-thon is a good opportunity to spend 4 days reading your books.
The books I intend to read these 4 days are these:

ttyl by Lauren Myracle. I have heard the book series is hilarious, so I can't wait to read it.

Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery. I'm in the middle of this book more or less and I want to finish it in these 4 days.

Scott Pilgrim by Brian Lee O'Halley. Although it's a graphic novel is quite thich, but I'm sure I'm going to enjoy it because it seems to me that it's going to be a great read.

Well, this is me, but what about you?

Top Ten Books You Can Read in ONE Day

hosted by: The Book and the Bookish

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU!!! :)

Today I've decided to choose this topic although I have done it before because I think today it's a day in which is really hard to find time to read. So this list can help you catch up  your reading and finish your challenges in the next days.

If you want to see more book that you can read in a day, click here .

And here is the list.

Any book by Richard Bach. They are always very short (150 pages) and they are very entertaining and easy to read. I usually choose them because I want to read something fast or because I have a read-a- long, I can manage at least to read one book.
Illusions: The Adventures of a Reluctant MessiahJonathan Livingston SeagullOut of My Mind: The Discovery of Saunders-Vixen
Rescue Ferrets at Sea

A Christmas Carol

A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. It took me more than one day to finish it, but it was because I was reading more book at once and because of the vocabulary, but I think you can easily read in one day.

Simply Irresistible (Lucky Harbor, #1)

Simply Irresistible by Jill Shalvis. As the title says, this book is simply irresistible and it was almost impossible to put it down. So, I think it's possible to read in one day.

Tuesdays with Morrie

Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom. I really loved this story and I think I read in one day. It was short, but full of wisdom.

A graphic novel. There are a lot of interesting works out there and besides they can easily read in one day.  Here are some examples American Born Chinese by Gene Luen Yang, Coraline by Neil Gaiman,  Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi, Bake Sale by Sarah Varon, Slaloms by Lewis Trondheim.

The Complete PersepolisAmerican Born ChineseBake Sale
Coraline
Slaloms (Les Formidables Aventures De Lapinot, #0)

Nick & Norah's Infinite PlaylistDash & Lily's Book of DaresBooks by David Levithan and Rachel Cohn. They are amazing and they takes you to read one or two. Shorts, but sweet. They are a special treat. Besides the set of Dash and Lily's book of dares is at Christmas. So I think it's the perfect moment to read it.

The Uncommon Reader

The Uncommon reader by Alan Bennet. I really loved this book. It was better than I expected to be and I highly recommend it. Plus, it is so short that you can read in one day.

Lola and the Boy Next Door

Lola and the boy next door by Stephanie Perkins. At first, I didn't get into the story, but after a  few pages later it was really hard for me not to read it because it was so great. The book is 350 pages, but I totally think that you can read them in one sitting.

Any book by David Safier. His stories are always interesting and really funny. He does an excellent work and although the books are similar in some points, they are completely different stories. I've spent wonderful times reading his book that you can read in just one day.
Mieses KarmaJesus liebt michPlötzlich Shakespeare

Better than Life

Better than life by Daniel Pennac. I really loved this book because it's about how to make people and specially  students to read books. Yes, it's the perfect treat for book lovers and you can read it in only one. And, besides, it's non-fiction and I don't usually read it, but I made an exception with this one because it's great :)

Well, this is me, but what about you?
