October TBR: how I did it

Hi everyone!!! :)

Today I want to share with you the books I managed to read in October. This meme is hosted as always by Misty from The Book Rat.

These are the books that I wanted to read this month

And these are the books which I manage to read. I've read a lot thanks to Dewey's marathon. I can't wait to have the next one in April.

I like it this one because I learned a lot about the underground of London. It took me some time to finish it because I'm not get used to reading non-fiction.

This book was OK. I loved Lapinot series very much and I highly recommend it, but this one left me a bit indifferent although some parts were very funny.

I've picked up this one because it was about the dreams of famous people such as Dedalus. My disappointment came when I discovered that the dreams were made up by the author. Apart from that, I liked some dreams, but not all.

I've seen this book in my library and I wasn't really interested in it. Then I saw in a blog that somebody (sorry, I can't remember the name of the blog :(, but many thanks for posting it) liked the books, so I gave it a try and OMG I really really enjoyed this book. I read it in one day. I love it.

As the rest of the book in the series, I found some parts very funny and interesting and other parts a little boring. Anyway, I can't wait to read the next one in the series :)

I read the books for the read-a-thon because they are graphic novels and you can read them very quickly, but apart from that they are very very funny, you can easily find identified by the characters, and it's clear that Maitena worked very hard on them.

I also read this one for the read-a-thon because it was only 100 pages, but the book impressed me very much because it's very peculiar. I hadn't read anything by Richard Bach, but from now on I'm going to find books by them because I really loved this book.

I read the 2 books, but I have to tell that I enjoyed more with Alice in wonderland than Through the looking-glass. I don't know why, maybe it's because there are many songs in the second book.

As happen to me with Out of my mind, this book surprised me. It was nothing what I expected to be. At first, it took me some time to get into the story, but then I loved it.

David Safier is definitely one of my favorite authors.I love all his stories and he always makes me think, but specially laugh. If you feel down, this book is perfect to cheer you up! :)

Well, this is me, but what about you?

Top Ten Favorite Kick-Ass Heroines

hosted by: The Book and the Bookish

Hi everyone!!! :)

Today I'm choosing my favourite kick-ass heroines from my reads. After thinking for a moment, here are they

Rose from Vampire Academy. I really like her. I think she is the first woman from my reads who can basically fight with her hands. I believe she is very strong and clever because she is always thinking of a plan.

Evie from Paranormalcy I like her because as well as Rose is a strong a character who can fight. Evie is very brave and very funny. I laughed with her remarks a loooot :)

Katniss from Hunger Games. I think she is very brave because I am not sure if I had the guts to do what she did. She is very unselfish and she is always trying to be strong and fight in case she would have to fight.

Cassia from   Matched. I like this character very much because at the beginning she was very naive and she didn't think the things very much, she just believed everything the government said her. But something happens and she changes a lot.

Lena from Delirium. I like her because when she thinks that something is wrong, she is not afraid and fights although it means to lose everything.

Grace from Shiver. I like her because she believes that love is the most important thing in the world and this love will help her to fight against adversities.

Hermione from Harry Potter. I think she is the most complete heroine, She is very smart and clever, but she is also strong and she can fight. She is very brave and she is always there for her friends.

Coraline from Neil Gaiman. I love this character very much because she is normal, not special powers or abilities. She has to fight with something which it's very dark and although she is very afraid, she fights against it.
Pia from The vanishing  of Katharine Linden. I like this character because although she is a child, she is not afraid of looking into a disappearance case. She is very brave.

Marjane from Persepolis.I like Marjane because she is very brave. She had to livea war and she has had to live on her own in another country, and this is NOT fiction.

Well, this is me, but what about you?

It's Monday! What are you reading?

                                   hosted by : Book Journey

Hi everyone!!! :)
Today I want to share the books I've read this week

I really liked it. I didn't expect that I liked this book much, but I was wrong. As happened to me with Out of my mind, I've enjoyed reading this one very much. It's a quick read and I loved all the wisdom I found in it. I highly recommend it because is good, but different from what I've read before.

Now I'm reading

I really love this book. I was very surprise because it's supposed to be for children and it's 100 years old, so I thought that maybe I'd enjoy it and I was TOTALLY wrong! It's really cool and I love the main character Anne very much. I highly recommend it because I'm enjoying reading it very much.

Since this week it's Halloween I've decided to read some books related to Halloween which I have in my TBR pile.

I really liked it, but I liked more at the very beginning, now I'm a bit disappointed. Everybody is telling me that it gets better and better, so we'll see :)

Next in my pile

Books which I decided to read because of Halloween. I know they are a lot, but I hope to finish some of them this week.

Well, this is me, but what about you?

Sundays in bed with...

                        hosted by: Midnight Book Girl

Hi everyone!!! :)
Well, today I'm spending the day with this amazing book.

I'm enjoying reading it very much because I really like Anne. I think she is pretty smart and very thoughtful. Although I haven't finished yet, I recommend you because it's an interesting story, Anne is a character which I think it's impossible not to fall in love with it and the chapters are really short, so you can read one now and then and you don't get tired.

Well, this is me, but what about you?

Saturday quote

Hi everyone!!! :)

From time to time I come across with a sentence or sentences which make me feel something inside of me. Maybe they have some wisdom on them, maybe it's because I find them witty or maybe it's because they are funny. Anyhow, I want to share with you one of those sentences.

These are sentences which I found in this book, which, by the way I loved. I really like the books I've read by Richard Bach. They don't let you indifferent

Here are the sentences

       " In order

          to live free and happily

                  you must sacrifice

                       boredom.

                                  It's not always an easy

                                                sacrifice"

I think it's true, if you want to have a complete life you have to go out, don't get comfortable because your life will be always the same.

Well, this is me, but what about you?

The Friday 56

                                   hosted by: Freda's voice

Hi everyone!!! :)

So, today I've decided to do this meme.

How it works:

Grab a book, any book, turn to page 56 or 56% in your ereader, find any sentence, (or few, just don't spoil it) that grabs you and post it.

Well, I'm going to choose the book I'm reading right now and the sentence is

"Would you like to be a gull?"

Yes, I didn't expect find that kind of question in this book. I love it, it's hilarious.

Well, this is me, but what about, would you like to be a gull? ;)

What's next?

Hosted By: ICEYBOOKS

Hi everyone!!! :)

It's been a while since I don't do this meme which, by the way, I love. I think it's a terrific idea.

How it works

The only thing you have to do if you want to take part is every Thursday, choose 3 or 5 books from your TBR pile that you want to read, but you don't know which one read next. Then, post the cover, and if you want the synopsis or a line from the book. books. At the end of your post, ask readers to vote on which one you should read next.

Since Halloween is coming soon, I've decided to read some creepy books from 29th October to 4th of November. I've chosen some books from my TBR, but I don't know which one read next.

Here is the list

I think they are great books and it's for me really hard to choose. So what do you think? What do you think it would be the best options. Thanks a lot for your help :)
