September TBR: How I did it

 Hi everyone!!! :)

Today I want to share with you the books I managed to read in September. This meme is hosted as always by Misty from The Book Rat.

These are the books that I wanted to read this month

And these are the books I actually read

I enjoyed this one, but I was a little worried about the main character. She is always getting in so much trouble! :)

The more and more pages I turned the more I liked it. It was entertaining and very strange. I want to read the rest of the series.

This book was hilarious. I read it very quickly, I think in 3 days or so. The main character is a case and she is very funny. I like the diary style. I can't wait to read the next books in the series.

This book I've read very quickly too. I liked it because I learned stuff about Nordic gods.

Well, this is what I read this month, I hope to read more the next one. So, I'm sure you did better than me. Please, be free to leave me your list on the comments :)

                        hosted by: Midnight Book Girl

Hi everyone!!! :)

Today it's Sunday and I want to share with you the book I'm spending the morning with.

This is the fourth book in the series. I've read the rest of them during the summer and although I don't love them, I like them. They are funny and entertaining. Lately, I was feeling down, so they cheered me up :)

Well, this is me, but what about you?

A late Book Begining

                                        hosted by: Rose City Reader

How to participate: Share the first line (or two) of the book you are currently reading.
Hi everyone!!! :)

Today I want to share with you the first lines of the book I'm reading now. I'm enjoying very much. It's very funny and the series is being very entertaining.

Here there are

"OK. I CAN do this. No problem.

It’s simply a matter of letting my higher self take over, achieving enlightenment, and becoming a radiant being of white light. "

Most of the books I am reading in English have been written by American authors, but this one is written by an English author and I'm enjoying very much with the English expressions and vocabulary.

Well, this is me, but what about you?

It's Monday! What are *you* reading?

                                   hosted by : Book Journey

Hi everyone!!! :)

Today I want to share with you what I read last week, what I'm reading right now and what I want to read next.

 Last week I  finished.

In the end I liked it. At first I was a bit bored, but just the last 100 pages, I really enjoyed it. I want to read the next books in the series  :)

Now I'm reading

I just read 50 pages, but I like it. I like how Peter Ackroyd explains the history of the sewers in London. Sometimes it's difficult for me to figure out where the places are because I don't live enough time there to remember, but still I'm enjoying.

Next in my pile

I hope I can put my hands in this book finally. I think I'm going to read this evening or this afternoon at the latest.

Well, this is me, but what about you? What are you reading?

Saturday quote

Hi everyone!!! :)

Today I want to share with you another quote that I've found in one off the books I've read. This time I am going to choose one from the book one from the series Confessions of Georgia Nicolson.

Here is the quote

"As soon as she left the room I knew I should shut up. But you know when you should shut up because you really should just shut up ... but you keep on and on anyway? Well, I had that"

Hahahahaha Georgia is hilarious. I love her and I really really enjoyed reading the first book. It's very short and I read it very quickly.

Well, this is me, but what about you?

It's Monday! What are *you* reading?

                                   hosted by : Book Journey

Hi everyone!!! :)
Today I want to share with you what I read last week, what I'm reading right now and what I want to read next.

 Last week I  finished.

I liked although I didn't love it as much as other books by Neil Gaiman. Anyway, it's a interesting and quick read.

I looooooooooooooooooooved this book and I really want to read the rest of the books in the series because I enjoyed soooo much reading it. I highly recommend it. It's very funny and it's very short (150 pages).

 Now I'm reading.

I like it and I thought that I really enjoyed it because it's full of references to another books ( which I love) , but it didn't happen. I like the story, but it's difficult for me to go into the story.

 Next in my pile.

I read the plot in goodreads and it seems to me the kind of book I'm going to love. Maybe, I'm wrong.

Sundays in bed with

                        hosted by: Midnight Book Girl

Hi everyone!!! :)

Today I want to share the book I'm spending the Sunday in bed with.

It's a very interesting story about a literary detective and how she has to find a murderer and a book. I love when they talk about books and there are many many references to the books, but the action is not as fast as I'd like so it takes me time to read it.

Well, this is me, but what about you? Which book are you spending the Sunday?

Saturday quote

Hi everyone!!! :)

From time to time I find a sentence or several sentences which grab my attention and have a full meaning for me. They could be something to think about or simply something funny and witty. Anyway, I write it down and from time to time I read all my quotes again, that makes me feel good and always learn something.

Here is one of the quotes I wrote  from this book

"Talk is free," said Odd. "But the wise man chooses when to spend his words"

Nice advice. I wish I could do it.

Well, this me, but what about you? What did you find in your books?

Something Bookish Comes This Way

Hi everyone!!! :)

Well, today I want to talk about two events which are coming "soon".

The first one is Banned Books Week. It's from 30 September to 6 October and I learned in the official page that this year it's also the 30th Anniversary of the Banned Book Week. I've been looking in some pages which banned books I could choose to read in this week. Unfortunately, I found a very long list and some of them I was shocked to find them on it (Harry Potter, seriously?) I think that books should NOT be banned. I think that you could say as in films that this book is not appropriate for your age or see what your parents think, but not ban them!

Well, I looked my shelves and I picked up these 2:

I want to read this one for a long long time, but in the end I choose other books. Well, this week is the perfect time to do it.
A friend of mine gave it as a present and I put it on a shelf thinking one day I'd read it. Well, this day is 30 September ;)

The second event is the Dewey's Read-a-thon I can't believe that almost 6 months has passed since the last time I was participating. The Dewey's Read-a-thon is happening on October 13th. I always choose participate in this read-a-thon because it's perfect for me to catch up on my reading, choose a lot of cool books while I take a day off only reading and eating. Loooove it :)

Top Ten Books That Make You Think (About The World, People, Life, etc.)

hosted by: The Book and the Bookish

Hi everyone!!! :)

Today I want to share with you my top ten books that make me think about the world, people, life, etc.

Here is the list

This one makes me think about love and death, funny and sad things. I like the way Cecelia presents a young widow and how she has to deal with her life, now the love of her life has gone. It made me think about what it would happen if my husband died and how people felt if they happened to them.

This one made me think about a lot of things: love, death, life. I believe that Morrie was a very wise man.

This one made me think a lot about people. I know how I'd react in one particular situation, but see how react other people who have a very different personality from me, made me understand people better. Thanks Ann !!! :)

With this book I learned how to be nicer with people because let's face it, the character is crazy, but she is sooo charming. No wonder how people like her.

The books of Safier makes me think about bad things can happen to us and how human beings have the power to change things. Don't give up!

Jane Eyre

This book makes me think about women, rights of women, men, couples and marriage. The message is simple: you can do whatever you want, you are strong, you don't need a man.

Recently I've re-read this book and I realised how similar it's our life nowadays to the book. It scared me because the book was written in 1950 and nothing of this (mobiles or internet) existed.

This one made me think about life. The things can happen to us can be horrible or incredibly good.

Well, this is me, but what about you?

It's Monday! What are *you* reading?

                                   hosted by : Book Journey

Hi everyone!!! :)

Today I want to share with you what I read last week, what I'm reading right now and what I want to read next.
Last week I  finished.

I was a bit stressful reading this book, but once I finished it I realised how much I've enjoyed the story, how Sophie Kinsella manages to end it with style and surprises. Now I can't wait to read the 4th book in the series.

Now I'm reading
I like it although I've only read a bunch of pages. Very interesting. I didn't know what it was about and now I'm surprised.

I'd already started reading this book a few years ago, but I didn't like it. I can't remember why. I took it again and I'm enjoying reading it. It's a very interesting story. Neil Gaiman never disappoints me :)

Next in my pile

I enjoyed reading P.S. I love you by the same author. I hope to enjoy with this one too because I like how Cecelia writes and the plot sounds terrific. We'll see.

Well, this is me, but what about you?

A late Book Begining

                                        hosted by: Rose City Reader

How to participate: Share the first line (or two) of the book you are currently reading.

Hi everyone!!! :)
It's been a while since the last time I participate in a Book Beginning, but here I am to share with you the first sentences of a nice book written by an awesome author, Neil Gaiman.

This is the book and these are the first lines

" There was a boy called Odd, and there was nothing strange or unusual about that, not in that time or place"

It was written for World Book Day 2008. I think it's for children although everyone can enjoy it. So far, I like it.

Well, this is me but what about you?

Top Ten Books On Your Fall TBR List

hosted by: The Book and the Bookish

Hi everyone!!! :)

Today I want to share with you my top ten books are on my Fall TBR list.

Here is the list

I try to find this book and at last I've been able to borrow from my library. I heard it was good so I hope to enjoy reading it :)

I've already read the first pages of this book and I loved it. I think it was love at the first sight. I can't wait to read it  ^^

I read the first one and I loved it. I hope it happens the same with this one.

I've read what it was about and I loved the plot. I hope it doesn't let me down.

I always reluctant to read this one because of the plot, but everybody is saying is really good so I want to give it a try.

I've heard different points of view of this one, but still I want to give it a try. What I didn't know it was the book is soooooo huge. OMG! I though: I should probably bring a wheelbarrow to take it home ;)
This is the fourth book in the Shopaholic series and although I don't love it I kind like it.

I read the first one and I love it. I want to read all Cassandra Clare's books, but first I want to read the prequel. I hope I enjoy this one as much as I did with the first one.

I think this one is going to be a really funny book. I can't wait to put my hands on it.

I've heard that everybody enjoyed reading this one and although I am not a huge fun of series I want to know what this one is about.

Well, this is me, but what about you?
