What is this book about?: Exactly about that, weird things customers say to booksellers (and what the booksellers reply)
I liked this book, but I didn't enjoy it as much as I expected and I'm going to tell you why.
In my opinion this book could be divided in two parts: the dialogues that happen between the customer and the bookseller that they are very funny (because the customer don't say the title right, the customer think a book was written by another author, etc.) They were really funny and every time I came across with one of these dialogues I couldn't help, but laughing. Really funny, sad in cases, but really funny.
But there is another part in which the dialogues are not funny, they are annoying. For instance, at least in two cases the customer thought that the bookseller could take care of customer's child while the customer did some errands or that the bookseller could go to another shop to queue for "the customer" and when the bookseller said no, "the customer" got angry. In this cases, I was so annoyed that I didn't enjoy the book because I remembered times in which people behaved in a very selfish way in my daily life.
Overall: I liked it and I liked the idea, although I expected to enjoy a little bit more.
The book sounds interesting. I'd like to check it out since I love books and all =)

Yes, it is, although I expected to laugh more. I hope you like it :)
DeleteInteresting concept... doesn't sound like the execution was as good as it could of been. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteIt was well done because it was weird things that customer said, but I thought it was going to be funny all the time and that was not the case. The other part was annoying for me, but maybe you enjoy that part too. Remember that it's my opinion and I'm not saying that the book is bad, it's only that I expected I laughed more.
