Top Ten Bookish Goals For 2013

hosted by: The Book and the Bookish

Hi everyone!!! :)

Today I want to share with you my ten bookish goals for 2013, although this time I could think of 6 :( And here they are:

Read more books from my shelves. It's funny how many times I've run to buy a book and now the same book is on my shelf unread. I really really wanted to read the book, that's why I bought it, but once it's in my house or I think I'm not in the mood or I have to return some books to the library, the case is I haven't read them yet.

Sign up more read-a-thons, read-a- longs and challenges. Aren't they fun? Yeees! I really love them and the people who host them come up with great ideas. They are great! :)

Read more standalones. Lately it's really hard to find a book which doesn't belong to a series. I have to pay attention because otherwise I always end reading a book from a book series. I love them, don't get me wrong, but it's also nice to read one book to finish a story.

Read more non-fiction. This is for me like an impossible task. I read fictional books and watch films about a topic (for instance Egypt and mummies) and I think: wow, this is sooo interesting, I'm going to pick up a book and know more about it. I don't know if it's me or the book, but it's really hard to read it. I'm going to try to pick up books more careful and we'll see.

Read more classics. Well, lately I'm reading more classics, but it's true that I have many classics which I bought long time ago that they are still on my shelves unread. I want to read them, but many times I don't understand the vocabulary, so I have to look up many words and still I don't understand the meaning. Since my English level has improved, I feel more confident to read these books. I hope to be able to read them because I think they are really good.

Record videos. Well, I don't know if I am going to do this, but I thought that it would be a good idea. Recently I have seen many vlogs sharing books and doing tags and I thought that it seemed very funny. I don't know if you want me to talk English with my Spanish accent, but I think it'd help me to talk better in English at least. So, we'll see.

Well, this is me, but what about you? What are your goals?

  1. Loving these goals for inspirations! I plan on reading more standalone this year too and finishing all the series I already started.

    1. Thank you! :)

It's really hard sometimes not to star a book series because you're reading a lot, but they are so cute ^^)

  2. I love series books, because you know you'll have a nice, long relationship with those characters, but sometimes it's just nice to read a book that doesn't stretch out into 4,5, 20 books and counting.

    1. Hahahaha yes, it's true. Sometimes you fell in love with a character and you can't see what happened to her/him because it's a standalone :_(

  3. I'm really hoping to try to read some more books from my shelves as well. I just have too many and it will feel good once I read most of them.
