Top Ten Books You Can Read in ONE Day

hosted by: The Book and the Bookish

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU!!! :)

Today I've decided to choose this topic although I have done it before because I think today it's a day in which is really hard to find time to read. So this list can help you catch up  your reading and finish your challenges in the next days.

If you want to see more book that you can read in a day, click here .

And here is the list.

Any book by Richard Bach. They are always very short (150 pages) and they are very entertaining and easy to read. I usually choose them because I want to read something fast or because I have a read-a- long, I can manage at least to read one book.
Illusions: The Adventures of a Reluctant MessiahJonathan Livingston SeagullOut of My Mind: The Discovery of Saunders-Vixen
Rescue Ferrets at Sea

A Christmas Carol

A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. It took me more than one day to finish it, but it was because I was reading more book at once and because of the vocabulary, but I think you can easily read in one day.

Simply Irresistible (Lucky Harbor, #1)

Simply Irresistible by Jill Shalvis. As the title says, this book is simply irresistible and it was almost impossible to put it down. So, I think it's possible to read in one day.

Tuesdays with Morrie

Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom. I really loved this story and I think I read in one day. It was short, but full of wisdom.

A graphic novel. There are a lot of interesting works out there and besides they can easily read in one day.  Here are some examples American Born Chinese by Gene Luen Yang, Coraline by Neil Gaiman,  Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi, Bake Sale by Sarah Varon, Slaloms by Lewis Trondheim.

The Complete PersepolisAmerican Born ChineseBake Sale
Coraline
Slaloms (Les Formidables Aventures De Lapinot, #0)

Nick & Norah's Infinite PlaylistDash & Lily's Book of DaresBooks by David Levithan and Rachel Cohn. They are amazing and they takes you to read one or two. Shorts, but sweet. They are a special treat. Besides the set of Dash and Lily's book of dares is at Christmas. So I think it's the perfect moment to read it.

The Uncommon Reader

The Uncommon reader by Alan Bennet. I really loved this book. It was better than I expected to be and I highly recommend it. Plus, it is so short that you can read in one day.

Lola and the Boy Next Door

Lola and the boy next door by Stephanie Perkins. At first, I didn't get into the story, but after a  few pages later it was really hard for me not to read it because it was so great. The book is 350 pages, but I totally think that you can read them in one sitting.

Any book by David Safier. His stories are always interesting and really funny. He does an excellent work and although the books are similar in some points, they are completely different stories. I've spent wonderful times reading his book that you can read in just one day.

Better than Life

Better than life by Daniel Pennac. I really loved this book because it's about how to make people and specially  students to read books. Yes, it's the perfect treat for book lovers and you can read it in only one. And, besides, it's non-fiction and I don't usually read it, but I made an exception with this one because it's great :)

Well, this is me, but what about you?

  1. This, I agree, is a great Top Ten for this time of year. I posted on this topic a while back: http://readerbuzz.blogspot.com/2012/04/top-ten-books-to-read-in-day.html. And my post today is all composed of very short Christmas books. Here's my list of Ten Wonderful Christmas Stories. I hope you will stop by! And Merry Christmas!

    1. Wow, I really love both ideas. I'm a slow reader, so being able to read a book in one day for me is great. Besides, I have problems to find Christmas stories, so this post will give me the possibility to know more reads.

      Thanks for sharing! :)

      Merry Christmas!
