Book Beginings

                                        hosted by: Rose City Reader

Hi everyone!!! :)
Today I want to share with you the beginning of the book I'm currently reading

 And this is its beginning:

"                  Tuesday, September 7, 5:39 PM

Snow Angel:   hey, mads! 1st day of 10th gradedown the tube-
                           wh-hoo!

 mad maddie: hiyas, angela. wh-hoo too u 2. "

Yes, the beginning is like messengers on the computer. I really love the idea it’s really peculiar. I really like the book, although at the beginning I thought it was OK.

Well, this is me, but what about you?

  1. I honestly don't think I could read this book because I can never figure out all the shorthand. Ha! This is my first time participating in Book Beginnings for at least a half a year so I am just getting back into the swing of things. I hope you drop by and visit my blog, too.

    1. Fortunately, there is not much shorthand, although I have had to check out some words :(

  2. Like Anne, I don't do text-speak very well. Not sure that I could keep going if the book had a lot of that in it. Hope you enjoy it!

Here is my Friday Post. If you'd like to take a peek.

    1. No, no, there is not much and you can find pages which translate it :)

  3. This one would be hard for me! Although I just learned a text shorthand the other day that I am going to start using with my law partners: TLDR (too long; didn't read). :)

Have a happy New Year! Thanks for participating in Book Beginnings and I hope you join in again in 2013!

    1. I don't think a native speaker has many problems reading it because if you read aloud you can figure out, but since I'm Spanish, sometimes it's hard, but it's worthy. This book is HILARIOUS :D

Have a happy new year too! :)
