Book Beginnings

                                        hosted by: Rose City Reader

Hi everyone!!! :)

How to participate: Share the first line (or two) of the book you are currently reading.
So today I want to share with you the first lines of the book I'm reading right now.

This week I've started a lot of books because I was in a particular mood and they books were reading I didn't fancy reading them :( Anyway, one of the books I've started which it makes me laugh a loooot is this one:

Well, I hope you see the picture properly. The book is: Soul Music by Terry Pratchett and the beginning is:

"                                                  THE STORY

This is a story about memory. And this much can be remembered....

... that the Death of Discworld, for reasons of his own, once rescued a baby girl and took her to his home between dimensions."

Well, I think this is enough to have someone interested in the story. I believe that Terry Pratchett is a great author because of the world he created and how funny the books are. Unfortunately, I haven't had that pleasure until recently because my English level was low and now that is high, I can enjoy these books and laugh a lot.  They are great! :)

Well, this is me, but what about you?

  1. I haven't read anything by this author...this excerpt sounds tempting, though.

  3. My brother in law has been recommending these books to me for years. He also loves the humour. You could also look out for some books by Jasper Fforde who writes in a similar style to Pratchett.

Thanks for the recommendation! :) I've already read The Eyre affair and it was very funny. I hope to read the 2nd book soon.
