Hi everyone!!! :)

This week I've started reading The Hunger Games and I really like it. Although it's similar to other books I've recently read, this one has some differences which makes it special.
Here is the first line:

"When I wake up, the other side of the bed is cold"

So far, this book is really good. I recommend to all of you but I'm sure that most of you have already read. Yes, I'm a bit behind on my reading :(

Well, this is me but what about you?

  1. That's a good beginning. I have The Hunger Games on my Kindle but haven't had a chance to read it yet.

  3. Interesting beginning. I haven't read The Hunger Games yet. Glad to see others as slow to read it as I am. Thanks for sharing.

  4. This was a book I read when it first came out. I wasn't expecting to like it very much (as I was discovering that YA often dumbs down language and plot to near fourth grade levels in many cases) and ended up being pleasantly surprised! I liked the tension between Katniss, Peeta, and Gale and was eager to read Book #2 in the trilogy. That said, the emphases on clothing and the games themselves were a bit artless and unoriginal respectively; but there are still plenty of imaginative surprises :-)

  5. Great beginning! I haven't read this yet at all and I confess that I probably won't. It might be the rare exception where I skip the book and just watch the movie.

Thanks for joining me on Book Beginnings! I am very excited to take over hosting responsibilities.
