The question today is:
Buy or Borrow: Where do your books that you read come from? The
bookstore? The library? Do you prefer to own a book, or have it on loan?
To tell the truth, most of the books come from the library because they are FREE!!! Yuju! :) Although now, in Spain, it is being considered to charge us every time we take a book. Noooooooo! :( I hope this never happened.
In my case, I go two libraries. I love the two libraries because they have different material, so it's really cool to find in one library what I couldn't find in the other . Unfortunately, they don't have many books in English so every time I hear about one awesome book I write down the title to buy the book. When I have several books and some time has passed since the last time I bought books, then, it's when I ordered books on the Internet.
I think I prefer to have my own copy because you can touch it, flip pages, read some parts, re-read whenever you want... But it's true that if I borrow a book from the library I usually read before than the books I've bought.
Well, this is me but what about you?
Oh my gosh - I hope they don't charge you to start getting books from the library! I love my library and get most of my books from there.
ReplyDeleteThat would be so upsetting if they started to charge money to borrow books from the library! I really should use my library more because it does get most of the brand new titles I want to read, but I don't because I'm not good at reading with the time constraints. I like owning books because then I can read them at my own pace or come back to them whenever I want.

I definitely hope that they don't charge you money to borrow books! The best part about belonging to a library is being able to borrow books. I'm definitely working on using my library a whole lot more this year!
ReplyDeleteWow! Thanks a lot for your comments.
ReplyDeleteYes, I would like that never happened. It's really cool that they are free :)
Sarah: thanks for joining :)
